So I'll keep this short. I've been bugged by two others to post my hand-written journal entries from all the traveling I've done here so they can share in the insanity. I'm going to take a page at random and enter it... then see if I like it or not. Then we'll see if I share anymore...
"Life's little moments. It was so perfect there. I could've stayed all night. But we took off to York instead. York was SO cool. One of the very few walled fortress cities left in England. The narrow streets with medieval stores hanging out over the street and the Cathredral that had inscriptions from 1091 dating who the first Treasurer was. That place, the city, deserve to be studied more. I need at least a full day tto just wander around the streets. But we had a proper English Tea (which means I had a coffee and biscuit) and set off to Manchester."
That was March of 2004, with Dom from Dom and Jane fame. He is a journalist with the BBC and she is a school teacher. They took me out the first time I went to Manchester, and we hosted them for a week when they came to Los Angeles. Then when I went back over to Manchester and Dom took me one a day tour of rural England, with us ending in York before heading back. It was a pretty awesome day trip and one that I'll never forget.
Okay, that's it for now. I'll have to come back to this and see if I want to add more entries or let it go.
